Join us for a beautiful summer evening at the farm as we gather around the table for a seasonal, farm-to-table dinner.

The evening will begin with a warm welcome at the farm. Guests are invited to grab a drink and head out into the fields for a guided walk with Farmer Peter—an opportunity to see what’s in season, learn about how your food is grown, and experience the farm at its peak. From there, we’ll gather inside the barn to enjoy a thoughtfully prepared, family-style meal featuring the very ingredients grown just steps away.

Chef Mario Scordato, chef and co-owner of PastaBar

Mario Scordato’s story begins in the kitchen—quite literally on the counter as a child, cooking alongside a grandmother who lived to feed others and a mother known for her effortless, abundant meals.

Originally trained in landscape architecture, Mario found his true path after moving to Denver, where restaurant life pulled him in. He went on to train in French technique while staying rooted in Italian tradition, with formative years spent in sushi kitchens and butcher shops, sharpening his precision and respect for ingredients.

Back in Chicago, he rose to Sous Chef at a recreational cooking school before transitioning into private cheffing, bringing a deeply personal, ingredient-driven approach into intimate settings.

Today, as chef and co-owner of PastaBar, Mario focuses on bronze-die, slow-dried pastas made with carefully sourced ingredients, working closely with farmers and family-run producers.

His farm dinners reflect his philosophy: thoughtful, seasonal food rooted in tradition and meant to be shared.
