The PASTABAR Difference
We make our pasta by hand in McHenry, IL, using bronze dies for that signature rough texture that holds sauce the way it should. Our semolina is non-GMO, no-spray, and imported from Italy’s Paolo Mariani mill, paired with organic durum wheat from Janie’s Mill in Central Illinois. You’ll find us at local farmers markets and select specialty shops. No seed oils. No shortcuts. Just real, traditional pasta and sauces made with purpose.

How TODO PastaBar
PastaBar is your go-to for fresh, handmade pasta and sauces — all crafted weekly in our McHenry, IL pasta shop. You’ll find us at local farmers markets each week, where we offer a rotating menu of 3–4 fresh pastas, 3–4 dried pastas, and 5–8 house-made sauces, ready for your kitchen.
We release our weekly menu in advance so you can shop at market or preorder for easy pickup. Looking for a quick, comforting meal? Our take-n-bake items are perfect for busy weeknights — and our stuffed shells are a local favorite. Even better: we’re expanding our lineup with more ready-to-bake meals coming summer 2025.

Mario, talented chef with rich culinary background, believes in the power of clean ingredients—no seed oils, no GMOs, and organic when possible local when available. With a commitment to quality, we know our farmers and personally vet every ingredient, ensuring that we serve only what would feed our own family.
